The evening of February 24 marks the beginning of the festival of Ayyam-i-Ha for Baha'is around the world and here in Pittsburgh!
Ayyam-i-Ha is a period of 4 days where Baha'is engage in celebrations, gift giving, hospitality, and acts of service. Here in Pittsburgh, Baha'is are inviting friends and neighbors to celebrate the festive time together with us. For example, the children's class held in Larimer is hosting a children's Ayyam-i-Ha party where the children's class participants have invited school friends and neighbors to join them for games, crafts, and gifts.
The end of Ayyam-i-Ha marks the beginning of the annual Fast for Baha'is. The Baha'i Fast is from sun up to sun down for 19 days, ending on Naw Rúz, the Baha'i New Year.
